I’m an attorney from Atlanta, Georgia where I spent eleven years working with the Georgia House of Representatives. In 2009, I moved to Lusaka, Zambia to volunteer with International Justice Mission. I ended up studying for the Legal Practitioners Qualification Exams and becoming the first American to be licensed to practice law in Zambia. Early in my stay in Zambia I became aware of the many injustice taking place within the local prison system. After a year of visiting juveniles in prisons around Africa, in October 2015 I left private practice to devote my time to working with juveniles in Zambia's prisons.
